We are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning Ltd. in Brent, North London.

About the Role:

This is a full-time role working with children with additional needs in SEND Schools. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be working with pupils on a 1 to 1 basis, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with children with a variety of additional needs, including behavioural and mental health needs.
  • Provide 1 to 1 support and guidance to pupils in the classroom and in specialist mentoring sessions.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to support pupils' educational and personal development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological theories, research methodologies, and ethical practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a genuine interest in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software or tools for data analysis or research purposes.
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance, or willingness to undergo the process.
