Job Details

We're looking for a Lead Python Developer to join our team. As a Lead Python Developer, you will be responsible for leading discussions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop optimised solutions for pricing implementations, enhancing performance and efficiency while gaining a deep understanding of the business requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the adoption of new techniques, including innovative coding methods and pricing structures, into production and daily operations by breaking down barriers to adoption.
  • Develop and maintain pricing algorithms using expert-level Python coding skills to meet the strategic goals of the company and manage complex implementations.
  • Maintain excellent communication and organisational skills to manage multiple projects and report progress.
  • Lead and mentor pricing engineers, establishing a Centre of Excellence to provide technical support and training on pricing implementation and coding best practices.
  • Ensure the recruitment of top talent by actively participating in the hiring process, conducting effective one-on-one meetings to provide support and guidance, and fostering an environment where team members thrive and reach their full potential.
Requirements

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Python Developer with a strong background in Python development and a passion for pricing algorithms. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Technical Skills:
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python for developing complex pricing algorithms.
  • Experience with rating engine tools, SQL and data visualisation techniques.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment utilising methodologies such as; Scrum/Kanban/BDD/TDD/Extreme Programming
  • Experience in seamlessly implementing complex projects while effectively managing cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
