At Hastings Direct, we're on a mission to become the best and biggest insurance provider in the UK market. We're looking for a skilled Automation Testing Lead to join our team and help us achieve this goal.

As an Automation Testing Lead, you'll be responsible for leading, coordinating, planning, and executing automation testing activities for our key insurance-based projects. You'll work closely with our onshore resources to conceive, design, and develop innovative consumer products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coordinating automation testing activities for key projects
  • Hands-on coding role in a lead position, working with our onshore resources to develop innovative consumer products
  • Engaging with cross-disciplinary staff to conceive, design, and develop consumer products
  • Coaching current team members to enable the wider automation attributes
  • Hybrid working opportunity, with one day per week in the Bexhill office

Requirements include:

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in similar roles with proven experience as an SDET, developer, or strong Automation Engineer
  • Proficient in OOP language for tooling (such as Java, C++, C#)
  • Proven experience creating automation frameworks and tools to support test automation
  • Responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment
