Position Overview

Introduction

OXBO, a prominent international developer and operator specializing in Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), is on the lookout for an Italian-speaking Renewable Energy Advisor to enhance their expanding team based in London.

We are seeking professionals in the renewable energy sector who possess strong communication skills and are comfortable engaging with stakeholders in a client-oriented setting. While prior development experience is not a prerequisite, fluency in Italian at a business level is essential.

OXBO provides a flexible working environment, allowing for remote work and the opportunity to work abroad for a limited number of days each year. The company also offers competitive bonus structures and excellent career advancement prospects.

As a Renewable Energy Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development of greenfield Solar and BESS projects from initial concept to achieving 'Ready to Build' status.
  • Collaborating with the Senior Development Manager to identify potential project sites in Italy and Southern Europe.
  • Engaging with landowners to negotiate exclusivity agreements for prospective sites.
  • Overseeing the progression of each Solar and BESS project towards RTB status.
  • Coordinating with various internal teams, including Project Finance, Engineering, and Legal.
  • Staying informed about market trends and regulatory changes.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, such as public authorities, local community groups, energy cooperatives, advisors, and grid consultants.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Italian is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a client-facing role within the renewable energy sector.
  • Experience in Solar PV and BESS is highly valued.
  • A degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK is necessary.
