Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and dependable Payroll Assistant to join our team at Robert Walters Careers in a 12-month contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive start-to-finish payroll processing services, while maintaining the utmost confidentiality. The role also has the capacity to turn permanent upon successful completion of the interim period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including collating information and processing it through the payroll system.
  • Produce reports and maintain spreadsheets, handling starter/leaver calculations, and producing pension calculations.
  • Respond to payroll queries from colleagues, managers, and external third parties.
  • Submit monthly RTI FPS & EPS to HMRC, manually checking statutory calculations and adjusting payments as needed.
  • Process tax code changes and run absence/sickness reports.
  • Maintain P11d forms and submit annually to HMRC.

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing systems and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
