Key Qualifications for the Legal Counsel Role

Essential:
- Proven experience with General Commercial Contracts
- 4-7 years of post-qualification experience
- Must possess a law degree from a recognized institution in Great Britain

Desirable:
- Familiarity with Construction Contracts

Additional Insights on the Legal Counsel Position

Consideration will be given to more senior candidates on a part-time basis if their rate aligns with the budget.
The Legal Counsel role involves a streamlined interview process.

Responsibilities of the Legal Counsel

- Provide legal guidance and support for Global Procurement (GP) initiatives and global function workstreams.
- As Legal Counsel, negotiate and oversee high-value contracts affecting multiple markets or jurisdictions.
- Deliver training, resources, and templates to GP and in-market legal teams.
- Effectively manage legal and reputational risks within the GP function.

Qualifications and Experience Required for Legal Counsel

Mandatory:
- Lawyer qualified to practice in England & Wales, Scotland, Ireland, or a Commonwealth jurisdiction.
- Extensive commercial in-house experience (minimum of 5 years' PQE).
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and skills in contract drafting/negotiation.
- Strong project management, verbal, and written communication skills.
