Position Overview:

We are seeking a committed National Account Manager to oversee the Home Bargains and B&M accounts. This role entails the development and execution of the annual sales strategy, with comprehensive P&L responsibility for the designated accounts. You will be tasked with formulating joint business plans that align with the overall sales strategy, while also identifying growth opportunities within your portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement annual business strategies for the account portfolio to drive sales growth, profitability, and distribution targets.
  • Design and execute promotional initiatives tailored to each account, ensuring alignment with range, space, and ROI objectives.
  • Manage and influence trading relationships to meet established sales targets, enhance profitability, and increase market share.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to create annual trading plans that optimize sales and margin potential.
  • Oversee the annual NPD customer presentations and range review process, developing collaborative trading plans.
  • Ensure alignment and support across functions (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance) to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Negotiate and manage trading terms agreements within budgetary constraints, developing promotional strategies to maximize ROI.
  • Monitor and evaluate sales performance for each national account, proposing recovery strategies as necessary.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in National Account management, ideally within the FMCG sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of P&L management.
  • Strong commercial insight and acumen.
  • Cross-functional experience, particularly in supply chain and marketing.
  • Knowledge of Category Management practices and experience utilizing consumer and shopper data to support business decisions.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and a track record of developing effective commercial plans.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High energy, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player.
  • Strong communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent presentation abilities, utilizing modern media and IT tools.
  • Dedication to fostering and maintaining robust business relationships with clients.
