Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated National Account Manager to oversee our key accounts, specifically Home Bargains and B&M. This role is pivotal in developing and executing the annual sales strategy, with complete P&L responsibility for the assigned accounts. You will be tasked with formulating joint business plans that align with our channel and sales strategies, while driving growth in both existing and new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement comprehensive annual business strategies across the account portfolio to achieve sales growth, profitability, and distribution targets.
- Design and execute tailored promotional initiatives for each account to fulfill range, space, and ROI objectives.
- Manage and influence trading relationships to meet established sales targets, enhance profitability, and increase market share.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain, to develop annual trading plans that optimize sales and margin potential.
- Oversee the annual NPD customer presentations and range review processes, creating and executing collaborative trading plans.
- Ensure alignment and support across functions (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance) to achieve shared strategic objectives.
- Negotiate and manage trading terms agreements within budget constraints, developing promotional strategies to maximize ROI.
- Continuously monitor and assess sales performance for each national account, proposing recovery strategies as necessary.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in National Account management, ideally within the FMCG sector.
- Thorough understanding of P&L management.
- Strong commercial insight and acumen.
- Experience working cross-functionally, particularly with supply chain and marketing teams.
- Knowledge of Category Management techniques and the ability to leverage consumer and shopper data for compelling business cases.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and experience in crafting impactful annual commercial strategies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- High energy, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player.
- Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
- Strong presentation abilities, utilizing modern media and IT tools.
- Commitment to fostering and maintaining robust business relationships with clients.
