About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our team at Prospero Health & Social Care. As a Family Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing guidance, support, and advocacy to young adults and children in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish positive relationships with teenagers and their families
  • Conduct key work sessions to support emotional, social, and behavioral needs
  • Offer guidance and skill-building activities to enhance interpersonal skills and self-esteem
  • Assist in developing and implementing therapeutic interventions and behavioral management strategies
  • Collaborate with external agencies involved in the young person's care plan
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions, progress, and significant incidents
Requirements
  • At least one year's experience working with young adults and children in a residential setting
  • Understanding of adolescent development, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based interactions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient and resilient in managing challenging situations
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations, policies, and procedures in residential care
  • Enhanced DBS registration or willingness to process
