Automotive Interiors Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Interiors Engineer to join our Research and Development Team for a major automotive manufacturer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the development of innovative and high-quality automotive interiors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of automotive interiors, including door, headliner, luggage trim, and console components
  • Preparation of detailed reports and presentations to stakeholders
  • Lead investigations into design and development concerns
  • Management of suppliers and vendors
  • Communication with cross-functional teams, including styling, product planning, and design sections
  • Lifecycle cost management and competitor benchmarking

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in design or engineering
  • Previous experience in automotive interiors development
  • Knowledge of interior cabin parts and modules
  • Cost breakdown analysis skills
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in CAD interrogation and Microsoft Office
