Automotive Interiors Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Interiors Engineer to join our Research and Development Team for a major automotive manufacturer.

As an Automotive Interiors Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of automotive interiors, including door, headliner, luggage trim, and console design. You will work closely with our team of Development Engineers to ensure the successful delivery of interior design projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement automotive interior design concepts
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders
  • Lead investigations into design and development issues
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Styling, Product Planning, and Purchase
  • Lifecycle cost management and competitor benchmarking

Requirements:

  • Relevant design or engineering qualification
  • Previous experience in automotive interior development
  • Knowledge of interior cabin parts and modules
  • Cost breakdown analysis skills
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in CAD interrogation and Microsoft Office
