We are currently seeking a Community CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist to join our dedicated team.

Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to provide care for children and adolescents with mental health needs.
  • Offer senior medical support and guidance to the team.
  • Engage directly with children, adolescents, and their families, coordinating with external CAMHS providers and acute hospitals as necessary.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, currently set at 1:13, with a 3% on-call supplement based on the basic salary.
  • Support peers and team leaders while also demonstrating initiative.
  • Work alongside other CAMHS professionals within the service.
  • Commit to collaborative efforts, actively engaging with other health and social professionals and agencies.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
  • CCT or equivalent qualification.
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it.
  • Approved Clinician status or eligibility for it.
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST.
