Key Responsibilities:

  • Work effectively as part of a team of experienced support workers to provide care and support to vulnerable children.
  • Provide individualized care plans and risk assessments to ensure the well-being and safety of service users.
  • Take service users out into the community to promote independence and social skills.
  • Ensure professional boundaries are maintained at all times.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Contribute to the effective implementation of individual programs by supporting learning, independence, and experiences.
  • Manage the well-being and behavior of service users, addressing and managing significant behavioral or physical occurrences.
  • Assist with the completion of care plans, risk assessments, reviews, incident, and accidents reporting.
  • Support clients with morning and evening routines, as well as challenging behavior and de-escalation techniques.
  • Promote strong communication with clients and staff team to ensure accurate and factual handovers.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, family, and external healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months paid experience as a support worker in a children's setting in the UK within the last 3 years.
  • Development opportunities with ongoing training.
  • Right to live and work within the UK.
  • Enhanced children/adult DBS on the update service.
