About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Medicines Management Team as a Prescription Ordering Direct Call Handler. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, pharmacies, and GP practices, responding to routine and specialist enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Process repeat prescription requests efficiently, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols, under the supervision of pharmacists or pharmacy technicians.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve service delivery targets, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.
  • Participate in staff surveys, audits, and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of the service.
Requirements
  • GCSE C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Competent typing and word processing skills, with experience in using Microsoft Office programs
  • Previous customer service experience, with a strong focus on communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
