Your Role in Underwriting

Your Impact
- Conduct comprehensive legal, financial, and commercial risk assessments for M&A transactions, tailoring insurance solutions to meet client objectives.
- Focus on underwriting corporate transaction deals of varying sizes and sectors, performing detailed warranty and indemnity evaluations, and fostering new business development.
- Collaborate with the M&A team to underwrite corporate transaction risks, ensuring timely delivery of customized insurance documentation for transaction risk deals.
- Engage in external client meetings and legal seminars to cultivate relationships and propose innovative transaction insurance products.
Qualifications for Success
- Preferred qualifications include being a UK (or Commonwealth) qualified lawyer or possessing relevant M&A transactional experience in tax or accounting.
- Demonstrated expertise in negotiating and managing M&A transactions.
- Exceptional legal, technical, and business development acumen.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in drafting legal and commercial documents.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with sophisticated advisors and clients.
- Creative and enthusiastic thinker with a strong focus on collaboration.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective teamwork with local financial lines colleagues.
- Capability to make informed commercial decisions within the context of legal risk assessment.
