Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Water Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will offer expert guidance and support to clients, ensuring adherence to the latest water supply regulations. Reporting directly to the Water Compliance Team Leader, you will conduct thorough inspections of water supply systems primarily within established industrial and commercial facilities, following a structured inspection schedule.
Your responsibilities will also include advocating for, educating on, and enforcing the Water Regulations concerning private water systems. You will assess new supply applications, collecting all pertinent information to formulate a comprehensive response to applicants in line with company supply conditions. Monitoring modifications to existing water supply systems will be essential to guarantee compliance.
In this role, you will prepare and maintain detailed technical reports, utilizing current information systems to document your findings and notify relevant stakeholders of completed documentation. A strong understanding of Health & Safety protocols is crucial, as you will be expected to utilize company systems to ensure a safe working environment.
This position is classified as safety-critical, and as a prerequisite for a formal employment offer, you will need to undergo a drug and alcohol screening. All prospective employees and agency workers in defined safety-critical roles will be required to complete this testing after a job offer is extended, prior to or within four weeks of starting.
Individuals who do not pass a pre-employment urine drug test will have their samples analyzed by the company-designated laboratory. Failing a pre-employment drug or alcohol test may result in the revocation of the job offer.
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will be self-driven, capable of working independently while providing practical advice. Exceptional customer service skills are essential, as you will need to articulate and discuss water systems with a degree of technical proficiency. Collaboration within the team will be vital to ensure compliance with Water Regulations.
A valid driving license is required, as a company vehicle will be provided for this role. While a recognized qualification in plumbing, engineering, or Water Supply (Water Fitting) Regulation 1999 is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
