Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Water Technician to perform a variety of Legionella maintenance tasks, including planned preventative maintenance (PPM), remedial cleaning, sampling, chemical testing, minor plumbing, and mechanical tasks to fulfill client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine monitoring activities in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L8. This is a mobile position requiring travel to client locations to execute necessary compliance tasks.
Act as a representative for the company while visiting client sites.
Maintain accurate water log books and complete required documentation per current regulations and company policies.
Collect diverse water samples from various properties and document these in line with company protocols.
Perform cleaning and disinfection of water systems following the Approved Code of Practice L8 and company guidelines.Test, service, and maintain thermostatic mixing valves and perform basic plumbing tasks as needed.
Experience with heating and chilled water systems and chlorine dioxide systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
Communicate daily with the service department to ensure efficient task completion.Manage inventory of chemicals and materials as required.
Ensure that all equipment under your care is maintained in a clean and functional state.
Take personal responsibility for your health and safety, as well as that of others around you. Adhere to safety protocols as outlined by company policy and any specific client requirements.
Complete any reasonable tasks assigned by your manager or the organization.Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be adept at maintaining clients' water log books and completing necessary documentation in compliance with current regulations and company policies.
Experience in conducting various water samples from multiple properties and documenting these according to company procedures is essential.
Perform cleaning and disinfection of water systems in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 and company protocols.Responsible for testing, servicing, and maintaining thermostatic mixing valves along with basic plumbing tasks as required.
A valid driving license and basic IT skills (Microsoft Office) are necessary. Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills are essential.
Previous experience in Compliance Servicing, Legionella Monitoring, or Water Hygiene Treatment is preferred.
Knowledge and experience in maintaining water systems are beneficial.
Basic IT skills, including proficiency with tablets/mobile devices and Microsoft applications, are required.
Effective communication skills are necessary for all aspects of this role.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team is essential.
