About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Trainee Animal Technician. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the welfare and well-being of our animals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to and monitor closely the welfare of the animals, ensuring their needs are met and their environment is clean and safe.
  • Carry out cleaning and disinfection procedures to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Assist with feeding and caring for the animals, including monitoring their health and reporting any concerns to senior staff.
  • Participate in weaning procedures and assist with the maintenance of animal enclosures.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of an efficient Quality Management System, ensuring all procedures are followed and records are accurate.
  • Perform other duties as deemed reasonable by management.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of your work.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and senior staff.
  • Able to follow detailed instructions and procedures, with a flexible attitude and willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Patience and courtesy when interacting with animals and colleagues.
  • Ability to work under strict hygiene conditions, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
