Chef de Partie Role

As a Chef de Partie, you will play a vital role in our culinary team, contributing to the creation of flavorful dishes that nourish both body and mind. You will work closely with the Sous / Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations and deliver exceptional dining experiences for students.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to the direction of the Sous / Head Chef, ensuring high quality and consistency.
  • Contribute to menu development and planning, exploring new culinary trends and service styles.
  • Supervise and mentor Commis Chefs, providing guidance on food preparation techniques and cooking skills.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with other kitchen team members to ensure efficient service and a positive working environment.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a similar role within contract catering or education is highly desirable.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certifications from a recognized culinary institute.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
