We are seeking a highly skilled Pastry Chef to join our team at the Harbour Hotel Southampton. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional pastry and bakery produce for our restaurant, The Jetty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a high-quality pastry and bakery section in our kitchen
  • Develop and implement new pastry and bakery menus to meet customer demands
  • Lead and motivate a team of pastry chefs to achieve exceptional results
  • Collaborate with our head chef to ensure seamless kitchen operations
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor expenses

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a pastry chef in a high-end hotel or restaurant environment
  • Strong knowledge of pastry and bakery techniques, ingredients, and presentation
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
