About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at TRCGroup. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in our residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care and Support: Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management, to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of the young people.
  • Develop and Implement Care Plans: Work with the Registered Manager and other professionals to create and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs and goals of each young person.
  • Build Positive Relationships: Foster strong, trusting relationships with the young people, their families, and other professionals to ensure a sense of belonging and connection.
  • Monitor and Record Progress: Accurately record and report on the young people's progress, including any challenges or successes, to inform care planning and decision-making.
  • Participate in Team Meetings and Training: Collaborate with the team to discuss care plans, share knowledge and best practices, and participate in training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience: Hold or be willing to work towards QCF Level 3/4 in Children's Health & Social Care, with a minimum of 6 months' experience in a residential care setting.
  • Skills and Abilities: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and professionals.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support, with a patient, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach.
