An overview of the position.

The Transport Administrator will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the Depot. This includes the strategic allocation and routing of vehicles to ensure exceptional service delivery to our clients while upholding health and safety regulations and maintaining compliance with environmental standards and operating licenses. This role also supports employee engagement and drives continuous improvement in productivity and service quality.

  • Optimizing route efficiency and utilizing the best disposal facilities to maximize vehicle and resource use.
  • Ensuring driver availability aligns with legal requirements and company policies to maintain consistent coverage.
  • Handling administrative responsibilities, including processing payroll and accurately recording disposal data.
  • Proactively managing vehicle operations, including coordination with the fleet team, ensuring safe vehicle practices, and monitoring vehicle weights.
  • Overseeing daily vehicle readiness, ensuring drivers complete their pre-checks as per company standards.
  • Contributing to cost management efforts by seeking ways to enhance efficiency and reduce operational expenses, such as analyzing Depot performance reports.
  • Completing all administrative tasks related to the Dispatch office, including timesheets, tachograph records, payroll documentation, and holiday schedules.
  • Collaborating with the Depot Manager to ensure mandatory training and safety briefings are conducted in accordance with company guidelines.
