University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Diagnostic Neuroradiologist to join our team. About the Role

We are looking for a Consultant Diagnostic Neuroradiologist who can provide expert imaging services, develop specialist skills, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the provision of a high-quality, consultant-led diagnostic neuroradiology imaging service, sharing in the 24/7 cover of the service, and developing specialist skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and support regional tertiary services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the provision of a high-quality, consultant-led diagnostic neuroradiology imaging service.
  • Share in the 24/7 cover of the service, including on call on a rota basis.
  • Develop specialist skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and support regional tertiary services.
  • Provide clinical supervision and professional management of radiology trainees.
Requirements
  • Full GMC Registration.
  • Completed general training in Radiology and Diagnostic Neuroradiology at specialist level in a recognised centre.
  • Experience and skills in a subspecialist area of neuroradiology and willingness to develop these aspects further.
  • Ability to work within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and training.
  • Understanding of and willingness to participate in clinical governance and audit activities.
