Neuroimaging Specialist

The appointed Consultant Diagnostic Neuroradiologist will be responsible for providing a high-quality, consultant-led diagnostic neuroradiology imaging service. This will involve contributing to the provision of a comprehensive imaging service, including the interpretation of imaging studies and the development of imaging protocols.

1. Contribute to the provision of a high-quality, consultant-led diagnostic neuroradiology imaging service.
2. Share in the 24/7 cover of the service, including on-call duties on a rota basis.
3. Provide clinical supervision and professional management of radiology trainees.
4. Develop and maintain expertise in a subspecialist area of neuroradiology.
5. Work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
6. Contribute to the development and implementation of imaging protocols and guidelines.
7. Participate in the education and training of radiology trainees and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

• Completed general training in Radiology and Diagnostic Neuroradiology at specialist level in a recognised centre.
• Experience and skills in a subspecialist area of neuroradiology and willingness to develop these aspects further.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Enthusiasm for teaching and training.
• An appropriate level of leadership, organisational, communication, professional and personal abilities to be effective in the role of consultant diagnostic neuroradiologist in a large teaching hospital.
