We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Neuroradiologist to join our team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust.
About the RoleThe appointed Consultant Diagnostic Neuroradiologist will contribute to the provision of a high-quality, consultant-led diagnostic neuroradiology imaging service. This will involve sharing in the 24/7 cover of the service, including on-call duties on a rota basis. The successful candidate will also develop specialist skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and support regional tertiary services.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the provision of a high-quality, consultant-led diagnostic neuroradiology imaging service.
- Share in the 24/7 cover of the service, including on-call duties on a rota basis.
- Develop specialist skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and support regional tertiary services.
- Provide clinical supervision and professional management of radiology trainees.
- Full GMC Registration.
- Completed general training in Radiology and Diagnostic Neuroradiology at specialist level in a recognised centre.
- Experience and skills in a subspecialist area of neuroradiology and willingness to develop these aspects further.
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and training.
- Understanding of and willingness to participate in clinical governance and audit activities.
- Primary medical degree.
- FRCR or equivalent.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council with a valid license to practice.
- MRCP or MRCS.
- ECNR.
- Publications in Neuroradiological Journals.
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register / Admission to the Register within 6 months of interview.
