We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Diagnostic Neuroradiologist to join our team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the provision of a high-quality, consultant-led diagnostic neuroradiology imaging service.

About the Role

The appointed Consultant Diagnostic Neuroradiologist will be responsible for:

  • Providing a high-quality, consultant-led diagnostic neuroradiology imaging service
  • Sharing in the 24/7 cover of the service, including on-call duties on a rota basis
  • Developing specialist skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and support regional tertiary services
  • Providing clinical supervision and professional management of radiology trainees
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full GMC Registration
  • Completed general training in Radiology and Diagnostic Neuroradiology at specialist level in a recognised centre
  • Experience and skills in a subspecialist area of neuroradiology and willingness to develop these aspects further
  • Ability to work within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and training
  • Understanding of and willingness to participate in clinical governance and audit activities
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Primary medical degree
  • FRCR or equivalent
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council with a valid license to practice
  • MRCP or MRCS
  • ECNR
  • Publications in Neuroradiological Journals
  • Inclusion on the Specialist Register / Admission to the Register within 6 months of interview
