The Faculty of Health is dedicated to addressing health disparities, social exclusion, and deprivation through its comprehensive undergraduate and postgraduate programs, along with a growing array of international partnerships and student opportunities. Within this faculty, the School of Nursing and Advanced Practice has been established to intensify the focus on both undergraduate and postgraduate nursing, as well as advanced multidisciplinary practice. The School boasts a rich history in nursing education and is recognized for its exceptional postgraduate offerings. It is known for producing outstanding graduates and researchers, and its portfolio continues to expand with various local, regional, and national initiatives. The School plays a pivotal role in shaping the Advanced Practice agenda regionally and is instrumental in developing the current and future health workforce.

We are in search of an exceptional candidate for the role of Principal Lecturer in Postgraduate Nursing on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Subject Head of Post Graduate Nursing and Advanced Practice, you will collaborate with Programme Leaders to enhance our high-quality educational offerings and responsive curricula. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing leadership in curriculum development and portfolio enhancement.
  • Line managing academic staff involved in teaching, research, and enterprise.
  • Ensuring the academic development and delivery of high-quality taught programs in Postgraduate Nursing, including Post-registration, CPD, and Advanced Practice programs.

  • Enhancing student retention and delivering an effective curriculum.
  • Supporting student progression and achieving positive outcomes.
