About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Behaviour Mentor to join a co-educational school in Sheffield. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will collaborate closely with secondary students, offering them the direction and encouragement they require to succeed in their personal and academic lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist students in managing their behaviour and making positive choices.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to address specific behavioural challenges.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of strategies to support student well-being and achievement.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to create and implement individual behaviour plans.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to relevant staff.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor or working with young people.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education, youth work, or counseling is an advantage.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting students' personal development.
