Lead Safety Engineer

Position: Lead Safety Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Advising project and engineering leaders on safety-related issues throughout program delivery, ensuring all safety considerations are thoroughly addressed.
- Collaborating with external parties to evaluate and compile necessary evidence for Design Safety Justification (DSJ) reports.
- Formulating safety arguments, both in terms of physical and functional aspects, utilizing appropriate safety analysis techniques, and maintaining DSJ and safety management documentation in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Supervising a team of safety professionals, providing guidance and support.
Required Qualifications:
Essential:
- Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant STEM field (Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Science).
- Comprehensive understanding of industry safety standards (e.g., Def Stan, IEC 61508).
- Proven experience in safety engineering within highly regulated sectors such as defense or maritime.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong communication abilities and adeptness in stakeholder management.
