Assistant Catering Supervisor

Location: Not Specified
Hours: Minimum 21 hours per week plus additional event days/evenings on weekends during peak season
Rate: Competitive hourly rate
Contract: Permanent

Are you prepared to become an integral part of a dynamic catering team? We are seeking to enhance our current workforce by appointing an Assistant Catering Supervisor to assist the department leader.

Key Responsibilities:

Weekend Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and serving food and beverages to patrons.
  • Supervising catering personnel and their assigned tasks.
  • Managing cash and card transactions, reconciling at the end of service, and ensuring adequate cash float throughout the day.
  • Addressing customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of all service areas.
  • Ensuring product quality and minimizing waste.
  • Complying with Health & Safety regulations, including HACCP, COSHH, Food Safety, and reporting incidents as required.
  • Efficiently utilizing EPOS/till systems.

Weekday Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and restocking inventory levels.
  • Creating purchase orders and managing stock procurement.
  • Conducting inventory checks, including date management.
  • Preparing for events, including thorough cleaning of service areas.
  • Overseeing cash management processes.

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Level 2 or higher in Food Safety Certification.
  • Experience and knowledge in event catering.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities and a polished appearance.
  • Highly organized with a strong ability to meet deadlines.
  • Charismatic with a confident and enthusiastic demeanor.
  • Adaptable and capable of working under pressure.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Confident in promoting and upselling products and services.
  • Possession of a full UK manual driving license.
