About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Catering Assistant to join our team at Anchor Hanover. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring that they receive the best possible care and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a quality catering service that meets the needs of our residents, adhering to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene procedures, minimizing waste and using equipment efficiently.
- Escalate any concerns or issues promptly, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
- Work collaboratively with the Chef Manager and other team members to achieve our catering goals.
Requirements
- Level 2 food safety certificate or equivalent.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including COSHH.
- Previous catering experience, with a strong understanding of basic food safety and safe use of knives and kitchen equipment.
- Experience working with older people, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
Desirable Skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on providing a positive experience for residents and colleagues.
