Beckman Coulter Diagnostics collaborates with a network of six Diagnostics Companies under Danaher. Together, we are driving change to enhance patient outcomes with diagnostic solutions that tackle the most pressing health challenges globally.

The Senior Sales Representative – Microbiology – Northern Region for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is an integral part of the Microbiology Team based in the Northern UK and operates remotely. Our vision is to continuously transform healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

As a member of the Sales Team, you will report to the Northern Europe & France Sales Manager for Microbiology. If you excel in a dynamic, multifunctional role and aspire to contribute to a world-class Sales organization, this position may be for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess Microbiology prospects in the ID/AST and Automation sectors, evaluating customer needs, interests, and clinical qualifications.
  • Execute the established sales strategy and implement a strategic closing action plan to achieve area and national sales goals.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for customers in the region, adhering to a defined call plan.
  • Maintain a high retention rate for existing customers.
  • Coordinate all field activities throughout the sales process and post-installation of Microbiology products.
  • Engage in negotiations with hospital administrators, procurement managers, and laboratory staff to secure timely business agreements.
  • Collaborate with marketing to address customer conflicts by developing and implementing strategies aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction.

Essential Qualifications:

  • BSc or equivalent qualification in a scientific discipline or substantial experience in a comparable role.
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct sales experience in a related field (Microbiology).
  • In-depth knowledge of Microbiology, Bacterial Identification, and Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing.
  • Familiarity with business management systems, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SFDC CRM tools.
  • A valid driving license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.
