The Senior Sales Representative – Microbiology – Northern Region will operate remotely from the North UK and be an integral member of the Microbiology Team. Reporting to the Northern Europe & France Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping a high-performing Sales organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and assess potential Microbiology clients in the ID/AST and Automation sectors, understanding their needs and clinical qualifications.
  • Execute the established sales strategy and develop a strategic closing action plan to achieve regional and national sales goals.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients in your territory, adhering to a defined engagement plan.
  • Maintain a high retention rate for existing clients.
  • Coordinate all field activities throughout the sales process and after the installation of Microbiology products.
  • Engage in negotiations with hospital administrators, procurement managers, and laboratory staff to secure timely business agreements.
  • Collaborate with marketing to address customer issues by creating and implementing strategies aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction.

Essential Qualifications:

  • BSc or equivalent in a scientific discipline or substantial experience in a comparable role.
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct sales experience in a related field (Microbiology).
  • In-depth knowledge of Microbiology, including Bacterial Identification and Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing.
  • Familiarity with business management tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SFDC CRM.
  • A valid driving license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.
