At Danaher, we're committed to accelerating the real-life impact of science and technology. As a Sales Representative for Microbiology in the North UK, you'll be part of a team that pioneers what's next across Life Sciences, Diagnostics, and Biotechnology.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify microbiology prospects, assessing customer needs and clinical qualifications.
  • Drive sales strategy and implement closing action plans to meet area and country sales objectives.
  • Be the primary contact for customers, meeting with them within a defined call plan.
  • Ensure retention rate is maintained for current customers.
  • Follow up and coordinate all field activities during the sales process and post installations of microbiology products.
  • Negotiate directly with hospital administrators, procurement managers, and laboratory personnel to secure business.
  • Work with marketing to resolve customer conflicts by developing and implementing strategies to improve customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • BSc or equivalent qualification in a scientific subject or significant experience in a similar role.
  • 2+ years of direct selling experience in a similar field (Microbiology).
  • Expert knowledge in Microbiology, Bacterial Identification, and Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing.
  • An understanding of business management systems, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SFDC CRM tools.
  • Full driving license.
