Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Marine Ecosystem Researcher to join our esteemed team at Ocean BioGeosciences. This role is pivotal in advancing our understanding of marine habitats and their ecological dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research on the structure and function of marine ecosystems.
  • Participate in national and international projects focused on marine habitat mapping and spatial data analysis.
  • Utilize advanced techniques in data collection and analysis to inform marine management practices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative research proposals and secure funding.
  • Communicate research findings effectively to both scientific communities and stakeholders.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a PhD or equivalent experience in marine science, with a strong focus on marine ecology and spatial analysis. Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and statistical analysis is essential. A proven track record of scientific publications and the ability to work across various disciplines within marine ecology is highly desirable.
