This position offers a guaranteed 20 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours based on business needs.

The work schedule is flexible and may include early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.

Compensation for this role starts at £11.44 per hour.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the execution of both event-related and non-event-related human resources activities, ensuring a world-class experience for guests.
  • Provide administrative support for the department, ensuring compliance with deadlines and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist the team with workforce planning and resource allocation for major events, ensuring the right personnel with the appropriate skills are deployed.
  • Oversee the check-in process for event staff, ensuring proper staffing in designated areas and adherence to uniform standards.
  • Manage the staff experience from clock-in to clock-out, ensuring a positive journey throughout their time on site.
  • Ensure the timely collection and return of laundry post-event, managing stock levels to meet operational needs.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding processes for future casual workers, ensuring a smooth welcome for all new hires.
  • Complete recruitment administration promptly to reduce hiring time and enhance the onboarding experience.
  • Be proficient in company time and attendance and recruitment systems to maintain consistency in roster creation, labor forecasting, payroll processing, and post-event financial reporting.
  • Maintain the variable database, ensuring staff are correctly assigned to roles and that personal information is current.
  • Assist in the local payroll processing, following established protocols for reporting, queries, and managing absences.
  • Adhere to company protocols in managing agency partners, collaborating with the Head of People Operations when necessary.
  • Proactively address all inquiries through various communication channels, ensuring the casual workforce feels valued.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and maintain records for audit purposes, adhering to health and safety regulations and employment law.

  • Flexibility to work according to business needs, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Ability to effectively communicate challenges to departmental managers and advocate for sound decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and act independently.
  • Demonstrated tact and diplomacy in handling sensitive issues and information.
  • Adaptability to accommodate the needs and preferences of others, actively listening and responding to feedback.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and team members.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, consistently meeting critical deadlines.
  • Proficient in utilizing various platforms and systems to enhance operational processes.

  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least one year of experience in a similar role within a large casual workforce or recruitment agency setting.
