About the Role

Bridges Worldwide is seeking a highly skilled Sales Executive to join our team in Colnbrook. As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for identifying potential clients, presenting our products and services, and maintaining customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver revenue targets for all company products and services
  • Build and strengthen relationships with primary accounts
  • Utilize and guide divisional sales support staff in servicing enquiries
  • Provide market intelligence on customer/supplier base, competitor products, tariffs, and services
  • Identify new airlines/shipping lines/service providers as potential core suppliers
  • Support the Senior Management Team in creating initiatives to sustain and enhance our competitive strength within core lanes and introduce fresh avenues of revenue generation
  • Build and develop relationships with overseas partners to drive growth in import volumes/shipments and optimize bilateral trade
  • Provide interdepartmental support through client/supplier intelligence to achieve targets/KPIs
  • Attend industry trade events/exhibitions as required
  • Produce regular reports detailing prospects with a definitive pipeline of revenue and GP
  • Develop, grow, and maintain a database of clients to align with company strategy and product roadmap
  • Coordinate with the Commercial Team in constructing competitive contract rates with carriers, ensuring customer rate cards are updated and managed regularly
  • Contribute to departmental QA of service delivery with the Head of Commercial
  • Design regular marketing campaigns internally and in accordance with service suppliers to promote our product range, including promotional rate alerts to specific focus groups
  • Review targets with the Head of Commercial at set intervals to manage action plans or contingencies
Requirements
  • Accurate data entry skills and familiarity with analytics and reporting software
  • Proactive support for the Head of Commercial in applying processes and procedures
  • Timely and regular reporting to the Senior Manager
  • An existing industry client/contact list (preferred)
  • Own transport
  • Adoption and demonstration of company core values
Key Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with +5 years of experience working with multicultural audiences
  • Able to work individually and as part of a team, with confidence in critical decision-making
  • Proficient sales executive with outstanding knowledge of the industry and targeted service lanes and company product portfolio
  • Well-organized and able to manage your schedule independently based on a strategic sales strategy set by the SMT
  • Good knowledge of e-Com/Cross-border trade, import, export, and brokerage processes
  • Meticulous attention to detail with impeccable presentation and oratory skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Suite Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Access and ability to learn proficient navigation and utilization of all company software – both external and proprietary
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in GSA sales and/or airlines sales
  • Global agency contacts
  • Airfreight/linehaul experience
  • Freight forwarding community knowledge
Remuneration Package

£40k+ performance-related commission, company length of service rewards, annual company rewards on achievable targets, car allowance, and 23 days basic holiday (excluding Bank holidays)
