Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Modelling Lead to join our Water and Wastewater Team in Derby/Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading our hydraulic modelling frameworks, working closely with a leading UK Water Company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Storm Overflows Discharge Reduction Plan, flood alleviation and environmental solution development projects.
  • Oversee model build, model maintenance, and verification projects.
  • Ensure the quality of outputs and compliance with standards & specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery.
  • Manage and/or support project managers to manage projects and programmes of works.
  • Supervise and develop staff, providing guidance to support their professional development.
Requirements
  • Understanding of UK Water Industry and regulatory issues.
  • Proven track record in coordinating and delivering technically excellent projects.
  • Expertise in hydraulic modelling, catchment planning and solution development.
  • Ability to review work of others to provide quality assurance and drive continuous improvement in work delivered to the client.
  • Expertise in MS 365 applications, and knowledge in areas such as PowerBI and SharePoint.
  • Experience working with software such as FME, Optimatics, Ruby (or similar) would be advantageous.
