Job Title: Hydraulic Modeller/Engineer

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Modeller/Engineer to join our Water and Wastewater Asset Planning Team in Derby. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering schemes for a range of clients, including water companies, local authorities, and developers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop sewer system models to investigate deficiencies and generate outline solutions.
  • Develop 1D and 2D models to investigate flood risk and flooding mechanisms.
  • Analysis of sewerage related operational data and hydraulic model root cause analysis.
  • Support development of technical reports and other project deliverables.
  • Undertake site asset surveys for physical and condition assessments.
  • Prepare and adhere to health and safety risk assessments.
Requirements:
  • BSc/BEng/MEng degree level in engineering, geography, GIS, science-related subject, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous demonstrable experience in wastewater modelling using InfoWorks ICM.
  • Experience of InfoWorks 2D / ICM, InfoNet/InfoAsset.
  • Experience of GIS software: QGIS, MapInfo, or ArcGIS preferred.
  • A good understanding of the UK water industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Proactive self-starter.
  • Desire to learn and develop technically and work towards a professional qualification.
