Position Overview:
As the Holiday Operations Manager, you will take charge of overseeing the continuous 24-hour operations of Jet2holidays, ensuring that we deliver exceptional service while adhering to our established standards, policies, and commitments. This role encompasses comprehensive incident management, including the escalation of issues to both internal and external parties. You will collaborate closely with various departments within the organization and provide necessary training to uphold high operational benchmarks.

Shift Pattern:
This position operates on a 4 days on, 4 days off schedule, featuring a combination of early shifts at our office and late/night shifts from a remote location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver operational support focused on solutions, ensuring comprehensive incident management.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Control Centre, flight planning, and other essential stakeholders to foresee and effectively manage operational disruptions.
  • Utilize available systems, data, and management information to monitor real-time operations and identify areas requiring intervention.
  • Support both internal and external stakeholder relationships by providing daily guidance and subject matter expertise on overseas operations, ensuring we maintain industry-leading service standards.
  • Monitor global events and government advisories that may impact our overseas operations.
  • Assist with welfare responsibilities, including arranging special assistance for customers in various settings.
  • Work alongside and support the senior management teams in both UK and Overseas Operations.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tour operator or airline environment, particularly in customer service or operational roles.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to identify when support is needed and provide training and guidance.
  • Familiarity with airline operations, ABTA regulations, Package Holiday Regulations, and customer service laws is preferred.
  • Strong decision-making capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to solve problems in high-pressure situations.
  • Understanding of the role of third-party local agents and customer needs in both airline and tour operating contexts.
  • A decisive, analytical, and critical thinker.
