Job Title: Mac and Jamf Engineer

Cognizant is seeking a skilled Mac and Jamf Engineer to join our Cloud Infrastructure & Security services practice. As a Mac and Jamf Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support for macOS and iOS devices within the organization, utilizing Jamf Pro for device management, configuration, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide L2/L3 technical support for macOS and iOS devices, ensuring high satisfaction and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain bash scripts for automation of system tasks, improving system security and efficiency.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues, collaborating with IT teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Offer support to end-users, ensuring high satisfaction and productivity, and documenting processes and maintaining a knowledge base for IT support.
  • Integrate Microsoft Intune MDM to enforce compliance on Mac computers, and manage printers effectively using scripts in Jamf.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of different Mac OS versions and their functionalities, and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.
Requirements:
  • Good experience in a similar role, with a focus on Mac systems, and proficient in Jamf Pro administration and management.
  • Strong knowledge of bash scripting and command-line tools, and excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving complex technical issues.
  • Familiarity with IT support ticketing systems and workflows, and ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach, and experience with Intune MDM management and printer management using scripts in Jamf.
  • In-depth understanding of different Mac OS versions and their unique features, and certifications in Jamf 200 or higher.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with macOS and iOS deployment strategies, and knowledge of networking principles and security protocols.
