Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head Gardener to join our team at a prestigious private estate. The successful candidate will assist the Head Gardener in leading the garden team and be responsible for overseeing the line management of all garden staff.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Head Gardener in planning and executing projects, including managing contractors and maintaining aesthetic standards.
  2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the garden, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, and general plant care.
  3. Manage the garden team, including planning rotas, holidays, and shifts.
Requirements
  1. Relevant horticultural qualifications (RHS Level 2 or equivalent).
  2. Professional gardening experience, preferably in a large private garden.
  3. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
