About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our team as Deputy Head of Physiotherapy and Health Services. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of evidence-based best practice and contribute to the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality physiotherapy and health services across Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional leadership and governance for physiotherapy and health services across the Trust.
- Work closely with operational managers to ensure the current workforce is appropriately trained and has the appropriate skill mix.
- Contribute to the development of future workforce planning in conjunction with the Head of Profession, HR, and operational managers.
- Support the implementation of evidence-based physiotherapy best practice, including innovative and evolving roles within the Trust and wider system.
- Meaningfully and effectively engage the physiotherapy workforce to promote job satisfaction and best patient experience and outcomes.
Requirements
- Registered Physiotherapist with the HCPC.
- Relevant Masters qualification or equivalent work at this level.
- Appropriate management development/leadership qualification.
- Knowledge of physiotherapy across the range of mental health, physical community health, paediatric, and learning disability physiotherapy practice areas.
- Working knowledge of the modernisation and development issues facing healthcare services.
