We are seeking a highly skilled and multi-talented Maintenance Engineer to join our team at e-Tech Recruitment Ltd. As an Apprentice Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Engineering Manager in maintaining and developing the manufacturing operations of our busy manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support and guidance to engineers and the Engineering Manager to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment.
  2. Assess, repair, maintain, and develop machinery and equipment, conducting research and data collection as necessary.
  3. Drive projects from conception to completion, producing detailed reports and presenting solutions in a clear and structured format.
  4. Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance plant/process efficiency, safety, and product quality.
  5. Ensure the engineering workshop is well-maintained, adhering to relevant health and safety standards and policies.
  6. Perform a range of tasks to meet business operations requirements, utilizing your skills and training to contribute to the company's success.
  7. Liaise with suppliers to achieve optimal solutions and outcomes.
  8. Monitor and measure the performance of mechanical components, devices, and processes to ensure they meet the required standards.
  9. Provide regular reports to stakeholders across the business, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

Requirements:

  1. Experience with PLC systems, including Siemens Type S5 and S7.
  2. Knowledge of working with Eurotherm and Uni Drives.
  3. Time-served Electrical/Mechanical Engineer with a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
  4. 17th Edition Electrical Installation qualification.
  5. BTEC or above in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  6. City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering.
  7. Multi-skilled in both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
  8. Ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  9. Proficiency in using workshop machinery, including lathes, jigs, and milling machines.
  10. Self-motivated, solutions-focused, methodical, and a team player.

Working Hours:

The successful candidate will work a standard 42-hour week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs. Call-out duties will be required on a rota basis, Monday to Wednesday, 5pm to 11pm.
