Role Overview - Finance Director & Company Secretary

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned finance expert to become part of a renowned local enterprise. The new Finance Director will take over from a long-standing leader who has guided the company through substantial growth. Reporting directly to the Executive Chairman, the Finance Director will oversee financial governance for the holding company and its two primary subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management

  • Comprehensive oversight of financial operations and strategic planning across all group entities, including year-end and monthly financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chairman and Senior Leadership Team to influence and shape strategic business decisions, including market expansion and product development.
  • Deliver timely and insightful financial performance reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Work with department heads to establish budgets, analyze variances, and revise forecasts as necessary.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to protect the group's financial integrity.
  • Mentor and develop the Finance team members.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and controls.
  • Maintain product costing models and manage monthly exception reporting.
  • Oversee banking relationships, ensuring compliance with all financial covenants and regulations.
  • Identify and promote internal and external improvement opportunities.
  • Manage cash flow, foreign currency transactions, financing, and overdraft facilities.

Company Secretarial Duties

  • Oversee the administration of legal contracts and agreements, liaising with legal representatives.
  • Manage the group's intellectual property, including trademark registration and enforcement.
  • Ensure adequate insurance coverage is maintained.
  • Administer the group's Defined Contribution pension scheme.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified accountant with extensive experience at a senior level, eager to contribute to strategic business direction.
  • Background in manufacturing environments, ideally within SMEs, with comprehensive business involvement.
  • Trusted partner with outstanding communication skills, capable of building relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on team motivation and guidance.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, balancing business growth aspirations with core company values.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety and HR principles is advantageous but not mandatory.
