We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance and Services to join our dynamic team at Robertson Bell. As a key member of our Leadership Team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective financial strategies to drive the organization's growth and success.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, with experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting. You will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work closely with our CEO and other stakeholders to achieve our strategic objectives.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the charity's compliance with statutory, funding, and tax regulations, as well as leading the statutory audit process and production of the Annual Report. You will also develop a long-term financial strategy that will support the charity's ambition for growth, and support the Chief Executive and Leadership Team with new business development and change management initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of success in a similar role, with experience of financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting. You will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work closely with our CEO and other stakeholders to achieve our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective financial strategies to drive the organization's growth and success.
  2. Ensure the charity's compliance with statutory, funding, and tax regulations.
  3. Lead the statutory audit process and production of the Annual Report.
  4. Develop a long-term financial strategy that will support the charity's ambition for growth.
  5. Support the Chief Executive and Leadership Team with new business development and change management initiatives.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including 7% contribution towards Group Personal Pension, private medical insurance, free parking on site, and 25 days holiday (rising to 28 days after three years). The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work from home up to three days per week.

  1. Qualified as a finance professional or be qualified by demonstrable experience.
  2. Finance experience at a senior level, guiding executive and non-executive colleagues.
  3. Experience of financial modeling and development of KPIs.
  4. Ideally, experience of charity accounting including preparing statutory accounts for audit.
  5. Experience of managing other business areas and support functions would also be an advantage.
