Key Responsibilities

  • Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Accounting: Collaborate with finance team members and other departments to ensure precise financial reporting.
  • General Ledger Reconciliations: Prepare and oversee general ledger reconciliations.
  • Fixed Asset Oversight: Manage the Fixed Asset register.
  • Central Communication Point: Coordinate with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) to resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with AR/AP to forecast cash flows and communicate with the broader business.
  • Focus on period-end accounting, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of necessary documents and returns for regulatory bodies.
  • Facilitate the external audit process by addressing auditor inquiries.
  • Identify and advocate for areas of improvement.
  • Recognize and implement enhancements across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain documentation in collaboration with finance and other business units.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to support business requirements, including Budget, Forecast, and 3-Year Plans.
Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Accountant: Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in a large-scale, fast-paced organization, ideally within a controls-focused finance team.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Proactive, organized, and capable of delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Able to take initiative, learn swiftly, and anticipate the needs of the finance and management team.
  • Excellent analytical and Excel capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with corporate governance and regulatory compliance is a plus.
