Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team at Women's Professional Leagues Limited (WPLL). As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial future of our organization and driving our mission to transform women's football.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective financial planning and reporting processes to ensure efficient and effective financial management.
- Work closely with the COO and Business Management team to ensure a smooth transition from the FA processes and systems to establishing independent, efficient, and effective processes for WPLL.
- Lead the development of internal financial controls and measures to inform business decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Head of Digital Products to design and implement effective reporting systems.
- Ensure high-quality management information is available to inform decision-making and drive business growth.
- Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, including the production of monthly management accounts, cash flow, and balance sheets.
- Oversee the preparation of WPLL Audit Committee papers and ensure they are prepared to a high standard.
- Manage the transition from FA Payroll to WPLL management payroll, including benefits.
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office
- Experience of model building and improvement
- Significant experience in a senior finance role with experience across all aspects of finance function with a focus on financial controls
