Key Responsibilities:- Financial Reporting: Review and prepare management accounts for a portfolio of UK companies.
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records to ensure they are up-to-date and correctly maintained.
- Financial Analysis: Analyse current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to predict future revenues and expenses.
- Financial Process Improvement: Ensure all accounting processes are followed and improved.
- General Ledger Management: Take full responsibility for critical month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports & analysis.
- Cash Flow Management: Ensure efficient cash flow management by preparing and executing weekly payment runs and forecasting immediate financial requirements.
- Financial Systems: Experience with AP/AR and posting journals, including Inventory Management experience.
- Project Work: Lead project work, such as financial investigations and occasional client secondments.
- Qualifications: Qualified/Part-qualified and working towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience: Proven financial/management accounting experience, preferably beyond audit environments.
- IT Skills: Excellent IT skills, with experience in accounting software like Xero.
- Communication: Ability to work with non-finance peers.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
