Clinical Specialist/Mental Health Practitioner

This is an exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team at the Chronic Pain clinic and contribute to the assessment and treatment of patients with complex mental health needs. As a Clinical Specialist/Mental Health Practitioner, you will work closely with colleagues to identify and address psychological problems associated with chronic pain, including PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma-related issues.
Main Duties- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' care needs and outcomes, taking into account their psychological distress and engagement with the chronic pain service.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate specialist care plans, including risk assessments and management of complex mental health difficulties.
- Work collaboratively with the chronic pain team and other professionals to provide high-quality care and support to patients.
- Participate in structured clinical supervision and appraisal, and be responsible for the formal supervision and appraisal of junior staff.
- Develop and promote the services' philosophy and framework of care delivery, and contribute to the development of clinical expertise and high standards of clinical and professional practice.

Probationary PeriodThis post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period, unless they are currently part-way through a probationary period or are a bank member of staff.
High Cost Area SupplementThis post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary, with a minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735 per annum pro rata.
